Josh McDaniels came to town and he wrecked shop. Before his backswing he set aside Rick Dennison and Bobby Turner. He spared them. Then he unleashed. Peace out inept defensive staff that only signed ground tacklers. Peace out bratty snuff hog poser-prodigy pass coordinator. Riddance, backups-that-started. He chased the Goodman’s from the front office then he chased his toddling Pro Bowl quarterback from the roster. The Player even begged for mercy. “Pffft,” McDaniels said. From the smoldering ashes of the former franchise, a phoenix emerged: consolidated power. Pincers was born.
“Pincers” comes from an espn.com profile by Elizabeth Merrill at http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4104795
“At first, it seemed as if Josh would be happy being a successful high school coach just like his dad. He slept with a football from the time he was 5 and tagged along with Thom until he was old enough to wear the Bulldogs’ red and black. He picked up his dad’s mannerisms — both men stress their points by pinching their thumb and finger together — and developed his easy-going nature.”
Easy going? Pffft. He’s Coach Pincers. And he owns you.
